Hydroflam® W18 comes in liquid form (VOC and formaldehyde free), odorless and colorless. It is ready to use. It can be colored (colorant or pigment in dispersible form) to obtain an aesthetic effect or traceability. The fireproof material, once dry, can be stained, painted or varnished but only with non-declassifying products.
Prevents the spread of flames and fire and reduces the development of smoke.
Implementation and preparation of the support
The support must be dry, free of dust, oil, wax, grease, dirt, resin, etc.
Hydroflam® W18 is applied to dry, porous support, on the exposed faces + edges, by spraying with a flat jet nozzle or with a brush/roller.
It is recommended to let it dry between 12 and 72 hours depending on the temperature and humidity, naturally or accelerated.
Indicative yields
The consumption of Hydroflam® W18 must be 250 g/m2 (in two passes if necessary) per exposed side on wood more than 8 mm thick and with a density greater than or equal to 338 kg/m3. Clean with hot water immediately after completion of the work.
Other comments
Test the compatibility of the substrate with HYDROFLAM® W18 on a small surface beforehand. If a non-degrading finish must be applied, test on a small surface beforehand.
May cause a slight change in the color of the substrate when drying (oxidation of the wood).
Some whitish deposits may appear at the bottom of the can, this does not affect the qualities of the product.
