Hydroflam® C10 comes in liquid form (VOC and formaldehyde free), odorless and colorless. It is ready to use. It can be colored (powder dye or liquid acrylic) to obtain an aesthetic effect or traceability. The fireproof material, once dry, can be stained, painted or varnished but only with non-declassifying products.
Prevents the spread of flames and fire and reduces the development of smoke.
Must be used in dry and closed rooms, indoors.
Implementation and preparation of the support
The support must be dry, free of dust, oil, wax, grease, dirt, resin, etc.
Hydroflam® C10 is applied to dry, porous support, recto/verso:
By spraying "to refusal" with a flat jet nozzle.
By dipping (total immersion in the fireproof product).
It is recommended to let it dry for between 12 and 72 hours depending on the temperature and humidity, naturally or accelerated. A slight shrinkage of the fiber may occur.
Indicative yields
To fireproof raffia, the consumption of Hydroflam® C10 must be 30% of the mass of the support by soaking (the solution must first be diluted to 50%), or 15% of the mass of the support for a spray treatment (the solution is used without dilution).
Ex.: to fireproof 200 g of natural raffia, you will need 60 g of Hydroflam® C10 (diluted to 50%) by soaking, or 30 g by spraying. The mass of wet natural raffia before drying must be 260 g by soaking or 230 g by spraying.
To fireproof cardboard, the consumption of Hydroflam® C10 (undiluted solution) must be 30% of the mass of the support, by spraying.
Ex.: to fireproof 200 g of cardboard, you will need to spray 60 g of Hydroflam® C10. The mass of the wet cardboard before drying must be 260 g.
