HydroFlam® SD19

Hydroflam® SD19 is a fire retardant product developed for stabilized plants and natural fir trees, which delays inflammation and limits the spread of flames of stabilized moss supports such as bryophyte, ball or lichen, and any decoration made from natural fir branches.

Its effectiveness requires small quantities. Its penetration capacity is very strong and facilitates its application.

M1 classification on stabilized moss glued to a solid non-combustible support or on a M1 cardboard support according to standard NF P92-512. FCBA report n° CM-21-B-005.

FCBA M1 study report on natural fir branches.

Carry out a test beforehand.

Hydroflam® SD19 comes in liquid form (VOC and formaldehyde free), odorless and colorless. It is ready to use. It can be colored (powder dye or liquid acrylic) to obtain an aesthetic effect or traceability. It is slightly foaming. The fireproof material, once dry, can be tinted but only with non-declassifying products.

Hydroflam® SD19 is recommended for the fireproofing of stabilized plants, such as bryochyte, ball or lichen. Hydroflam® SD19 has been tested M1 on stabilized foam glued to an M1 cardboard support (with a thickness of between 3 and 30 mm) or on a solid non-combustible support.

Prevents the spread of flames and fire and reduces the development of smoke.

Must be used in dry and closed rooms indoors.

Implementation and preparation of the support

The support must be dry, free of dust, oil, wax, grease, dirt, resin, etc.

Hydroflam® SD19 is applied to dry, porous support by spraying, with a flat jet nozzle.

It is recommended to let it dry for between 12 and 72 hours depending on the temperature and humidity, naturally or accelerated. A slight shrinkage of the fiber may occur. Carry out tests beforehand.

Indicative yields

The consumption of Hydroflam® SD19 varies according to the nature, composition, mass of the support and the fire classification targeted. Generally speaking, the Hydroflam® SD19 take-up rate must be at least 40% of the mass of the support to be treated.

Ex.: to fireproof a stabilized foam of 200 g, 80 g of Hydroflam® SD19 will be required. The mass of the wet moss before drying must be 280 g.
