Verniflam® AITHON F3

Verniflam® AITHON F3 is a non-declassifying finishing product of the Verniflam® AOITHON PV33 intumescent fireproofing system for fireproofing wood on the surface. Verniflam® AITHON F3 is applied to wooden supports of 8 mm and more, on areas such as walls or ceilings, not subject to mechanical stress. Verniflam® AITHON PV33 is not suitable for floors or stairs for example.

It is a solvent-based varnish.

Packaging in 0.5 kg, 4 kg and 20 kg cans.

To date, the fire reaction documents for Verniflam® AITHON F3 only concern the use of Verniflam® AITHON F3 as a finishing coat for Verniflam® AITHON PV33.

Verniflam® Aithon F3 is used as a protective layer for Verniflam® Aithon PV33 intumescent varnish.

Used with Verniflam® Aithon PV33 intumescent, it fire classifies wood and wood-derived materials inside public buildings. It is also suitable for improving the fire resistance of wooden elements.

Reaction to fire:

  • 300 g/m2 Verniflam® Aithon PV33 intumescent primer (in two coats).
  • 40 g/m2 Verniflam® Aithon F3 Top Coat (one coat).

Consumption refers to fire behavior according to EN 13501-1.

Fire resistance:

  • from 300 g/m2 to 1150 g/m2 Verniflam® Aithon PV33 intumescent primer (in several coats).
  • from 40 g/m2 to 70 g/m2 Verniflam® Aithon F3 Top Coat.

Consumption refers to fire resistance according to ENV 13381-7 and EN 13501-2.

Application by brush, roller or spray gun. May require dilution with a solvent-based finishing product.
